Oceanetics uses a range of materials to support prototyping, custom fabrication, and refurbishment.  We work with metals, coatings, composites, as well as rope and rigging, to deliver robust products built to withstand extreme environments. Our products are used in a wide range of applications to include marine products, structural operating equipment, and industrial facilities support.

 

Our metal experience encompasses steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.  We employ AWS certified welders to D1.1, D1.2, D1.6 and API 1104, and AWS/API Certified Weld Inspectors (CWI). 

 

Coatings are one method of preservation to extend the service life of our products. We regularly galvanize, paint, and use passive cathodic protection. Application of coatings is executed to applicable specifications.

We regularly use composites such as FRP, phenolics, and HDPE.  These non-corrosive materials are used in place of metals, particularly in marine environments where products are floating, submerged, or at the waterline.

Rope & Rigging products are fabricated to ABS and Cordage Institute standards.  We perform splicing to produce mooring lines, towing hawsers, and nets.  We also offer slings, chain, shackles, and other rigging products.
